Ben Calvert at Worcester Music Festival 2026

It was a surreal experience to play my first full Worcester show at St Swithun’s Church at last year’s Worcester Music Festival. It’s a dream of a venue with a spiritual vibe, and a fantastic sound. I’ve now been confirmed to play at Huntingdon Hall this year. Super excited to be playing this big ol’ historic seated venue where songs can fully breathe. Come and join me at 7:45pm on Saturday 12th September for a set of Autumnal songs, some newly-penned tunes, and a couple of radical covers.

Over the weekend, Worcester really ramps up its musical scene with performances from singer-songwriters and bands who live in the city, and visitors from nearby. There’s a stack of my friends that are playing the festival, and I’d recommend going to see…

The warm, emotive and operatic Spacefolk of Brutha T and Be on Friday at St Swithun’s Church, the otherwordly and immense stage presence of Janique James at The Oil Basin on Sunday, and my old chums Falling and Laughing at The Marrs Bar on the same day.

I’ll be spending most of Friday at Spin The Black Circle, where Jake Marsh is presenting a night of foot-stomping folk and outlandish weirdness. Last year, I jived with a wizard and some psychedelic Morris dancers. Let’s see what this year brings.

Each year a charity working in the area benefits from donations. In 2026 we’re all raising funds for ONSIDE, who work supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people, as well as those who find today’s challenging world to be difficult to navigate. Donate at their JustGiving page.
